World Intellectual Property Organisation or WIPO is an international organisation responsible for the protection of intellectual property throughout the world. The WIPO offers an international agreement- the Patent Cooperation Treaty, a document which provides patent protection in various countries through filing a single application form. It accounts the same as an individual application to each country. It is more economical, streamlined and most importantly, efficient in validating the scope of a patent.
